Armistice Day, Huntingdon 11/11/2017
On the 11th of November 2017, shipmates from Huntingdon & District Branch attended a short service of Remembrance for Armistice Day (the main parade taking place on Sunday 12th November).

Shipmate Bill Small paraded the Branch Standard with S/Ms Karl Webb and Graham Murray also represented the Branch. Prayers were said by S/M, the Reverand Andrew Milton.

Once in position, the Mayor of Huntingdon, Cllr Jay Dyne, led members of the Town Council to the memorial whilst onlookers gathered to watch the service.

As the Last Post was sounded, Standard bearers dipped their Standards as the town fell quiet for two minutes.

Wreaths were laid by the Town Mayor and Royal British Legion.

This was the second of four parades taking place for the Remembrance weekend.

After the service, S/M Bill Small places crosses in memory of SAC Alan Lindsay and his shipmates, lost during the Falklands Conflict in 1982.
