Harwich & District RNA: Commemoration of the cessation of hostilities in the Falkland Islands 1982
On Sunday 12th June, 2016. Shipmates from Harwich & District Branch of the Royal Naval Association hosted a service in remembrance of the cessation of hostilities during the Falklands conflict, 1982.

In addition to the Royal Naval Association, representatives from the Merchant Naval Association, Royal Air Force Association, and the Royal British Legion, attended and paraded their Branch Standards.

The service (organised and managed by S/M Trevor Potter) was held at the Minesweepers Memorial, Dovercourt in Harwich. Harwich & District Branch chaplain, The Reverend Christopher Woods RN Retd conducted the service and wreaths were laid by Harwich’s Branch Secretary, S/M John Cowan with Ken Gifford laying a wreath for the RBL.
