Huntingdon & District: Charity Stall, September 2014

On Saturday 6th September 2014, shipmates Karl Webb and Peter Aston took the Branch stall to Huntingdon Town Centre to raise funds and an awareness of the Royal Naval presence in Cambridgeshire.

The stall was positioned outside of Barclays Bank, and in view of the Town War Memorial and All Saints Church.

Once all the displays and bunting was in place, shipmates Karl Webb and Pete Aston donned jackets and waited for the public.

During the day, Huntingdon & District Branch President, shipmate Graham Holt, stopped by to show his support (and to make a generous donation), other branch members to visit were S/Ms Becky & Graham Murray, Claire Aston, Hilary Meers-Webb, and Ben Dear.

Shipmate Ben Dear is one of the longest serving members of Huntingdon Branch, he is pictured here with one of the RNA hats, a favourite amongst our young visitors to the stall.

A long, but successful day for the Branch, locals and visitors in Huntingdon had shown their support to the Association and spent time chatting with Pete and Karl and learning about the RNA.
