Shipmate Graham Holt, 1928-2017. Huntingdon & District Branch. Crossed the Bar 26 May 2017. Graham was the former President of Huntingdon & District Branch, he was also Life Vice President of both Huntingdon and Bridport Branches. Graham joined the RN on 1 Aug 1947, he served onboard a number of ships (HMS Royalist, Vanguard, Illustrious, Eagle, Victorious and Centaur) and shore bases (HMS Raleigh, RAF Syerston, HMS Gannet, Heron, and MOD London) as well as a NATO post in Kiel, Germany.
thumbnail-ben-dearShipmate Ben Dear, 1951-2016. Huntingdon & District Branch. Crossed the Bar 23 April 2016. Ben was a founder member of Huntingdon & District Branch, and Standard Bearer for over 15 years. He joined HMS Ganges in 1966 as a gunnery rating. He served on numerous ships, including HMS Zulu, Brighton, Intrepid and Scylla, before retiring in 1977.
Monica McKay - thumbnailShipmate Monica McKay, 1928-2015. Huntingdon & District Branch. Crossed the Bar 13 August 2015.  Monica joined the WRNS in 1947 as a Radar Operator, she served at HMS Harrier, Seahawk, and RNAS Dale.
Isobel Johnson - thumbnailShipmate Isobel Johnson, 1917-2014. Huntingdon & District Branch. Crossed the Bar 9 December 2014. Isobel joined the WRNS as a cook (1943-1946); based at HMS Spartiate II (on the estate of Tullichewan Castle), and HMS Westcliffe where she witnessed flotilla training and preparations for a deception plan prior to the official D Day Landings in June 1944.
Pete Wale thShipmate Pete Wale, 1930-2014. First Standard Bearer for St Neots & District Branch. Crossed the Bar, 19 October 2014. A former Royal Marine, a Life Member of St Neots & District Branch, and the First Standard Bearer when the Branch Commissioned in 1972, a role he undertook for 23 years.
Grove Dove - Obit ThumbShipmate Grove Dove, 1925-2014. Huntingdon & District Branch. Crossed the Bar, 30 June 2014.Grove joined the Royal Navy (1943-1946) as a Radio Telegraphanist, he served onboard HMS Queen (on the last Arctic Convoy and awarded the Arctic Star in 2013) and HMS Tourmaline.
Leabert Francis - Obit ThumbShipmate Leabert ‘Lea’ Francis, 1951-2014. Chairman, Luton & Dunstable & Aldenham Branch. Crossed the Bar, 14 June 2014.Leabert spent three years in the Royal Navy with the Fleet Air Arm; after a medical discharge, Lea spent the next 20 plus years supporting the RNA and FAAA.
Spike smallShipmate Spike Milligan, 1927-2014. Vice Chairman, Huntingdon & District Branch. Crossed the Bar, 15 February 2014.Spike served in the Royal Navy (1943-1957) on a number of ships, the key point in his career was serving onboard HMS London when HMS Amethyst was trapped on the Yangtze river for three months in 1949 (better known as the Yangtze Incident).
Tom Tubb smallShipmate Tom Tubb, 1943-2013. Former Chairman, Peterborough & District Branch, and Hon. Secretary No 6 Area. Crossed the Bar, 18 December 2013.Tom joined the RN as a Radio Operator, rising through the ranks to Lt Cdr. He served on numerous ships including HMS Alacrity during the Falklands Conflict.
2011_Dick_Knowles_Remembrance_ParadeShipmate Dick Knowles, 1930-2013. Former Hon. Treasurer, Huntingdon & District Branch. Crossed the Bar, 11 June 2013.A Sick Berth Attendant, Dick began his National Service in 1949. He served onboard HMS Bramble and at RNH Haslar in Gosport.
