Letchworth & Hitchin Branch presentations, February 2016
Shipmates from Letchworth & Hitchin Branch recently held a Branch luncheon in order to thank their former Vice Chairman, S/M Bill Poole, for his service to the Branch, and to welcome Mrs Adie Hughes as an Honorary Member.
S/M Bill Poole has moved near King’s Lynn, unfortunately, the King’s Lynn Branch has closed, so Bill decided he wanted to remain a member of Letchworth & Hitchin Branch, albeit at a distance. As a thank you from his fellow shipmates, The new Vice Chairman, S/M John Meacham, presented Bill with a certificate to thank him for all the hard work he has done for the Branch.

A long standing shipmate of the Branch, S/M John Hughes, sadly Crossed the Bar a year ago; shipmates were pleased to welcome his wife, Mrs Adie Hughes, as an Honorary Member. S/M Bill Poole and the Branch Welfare Officer, S/M Bill Cusack, presented S/M Adie Hughes with flowers to mark the occasion.

Branch members enjoyed their social event and presentations, especially with a buffet that had been arranged and served by S/Ms Becky, Daniel, and Penny Jarvis.

The Branch have had a good start to 2016, they also enjoyed their annual dinner last month (held at the Wagon & Horses, Gravely); the dinner was attended by around 20 members, all of which, are now looking forward to meeting up throughout the year.
