Sea Sunday 2020

In July 2019, members of Huntingdon & District Branch of the Royal Naval Association (RNA) held their first Sea Sunday Service in the Market Square. The service is an annual event organised by Christian churches to remember all seafarers and their families and to give thanks for their lives and work.

Our first event was a great success and we had been hoping to hold the service again this year, sadly that was not to be. However, a small socially distanced service was held at home with shipmate Karl Webb representing Huntingdon RNA and shipmate, Reverend Clifford Owen providing the prayer. A minute’s silence was held to remember all those who have served, are serving, or will serve at sea.

At 1100, S/Ms Karl Webb and Revd Clifford Owen held a Minute’s Silence followed by a short service from Revd Owen.

Our President, S/M Victor Lucas also joined in at home by flying the White Ensign.
