St Neots & District Branch – Remembrance Sunday, 2015
On Sunday 8th Nov 2015, S/Ms Mike Milne, Keith & Maureen Ridley, Jim Lawson, John Gibbs and Tony Webley attended remembrance services in and around St Neots. Wreaths were laid on behalf of the RNA by S/M Mike Milne at St Neots and by S/M John Gibbs at Eynesbury.

After the main remembrance service, S/Ms Mike Milne and Keith & Maureen Ridley attended a remembrance service in St Neots cemetery for Polish servicemen stationed at a Polish Field Hospital in Diddington, who died just after World War II from various conditions, mainly contracted during the war. A delegation from Poland also attended the service along with members of 2500 (St Neots) Squadron Air Training Corps.

After the Polish remembrance service, all retired to the aptly named Poppies Tearoom for a welcome cup of tea and cakes. S/Ms Maureen and Keith Ridley weren’t finished though, as they then attended remembrance services and laid wreaths at Eaton Socon and Gravely war memorials.
A truly memorable day – BZ to all those who attended.
We will remember them!
Mike Milne
