St Neots & District Branch, update Winter 2014/2015
Whilst winter is understandably quieter than summer, members attended three interesting and enjoyable events.
17th November – 42nd Anniversary of the founding of the St Neots and District Branch of the Association
To celebrate this event members met for an enjoyable lunch at Brewers Fayre, St Neots.
The lunch provided an opportunity to award Terry Brown, a founder member with Life Membership in recognition of her 42 years of continuous service to the branch. We were joined by members who are unable to attend our evening meetings and widows of former members.

December – Charity Cheque presentations
This year we raised the amazing sum of £2400 which was evenly distributed to four charities:
- 2500 (St Neots) Squadron Air Training Corps
- Babac Bees (a local dance group for young children funded entirely by donations)
- Northbrook Equestrian Centre supporting Riding for the Disabled
- Dogs for the Disabled
This was also an opportunity to award Harry Bellars with Life Membership for his unstinting contribution to branch activities including fund raising.
Unfortunately Marie and Blue were unable to attend our cheque presentations in December and were awarded their donation at the February meeting.

January – post Christmas lunch
To round the season off we opted to have a Christmas lunch in January. On the recommendation of two of our members, the St Neots Conservative Club provided us with festive fair including Christmas crackers in early January. This event was well attended and we had an enjoyable time.
